Michael Lawrence is the Catalyst for Fifth + Prospect. That’s right, fuck it, we create our own titles and roles. Besides, his mind is way too advanced for a garden-variety title like Creative Director. Involved heavily with progressive film projects and weirdo stuff in NYC, Boston, the world; he’s forever leaving my brain numb and stuck with accounts of his runnings. Recently, he sent me a video of the song GINA by some band named Scott Beowulf, who I believe are some of his people from out there in Brooklyn. The first 13 seconds is classic footage and let’s you know it’s ok to smile throughout the rest of the trip/video. Seemingly mocking the whole tribal-flare coveted in synth-pop, they really put forth the confidence of a unicorn tattoo in this one. I dig. I’ll make sure to put it on the next time a girl from the art institute comes over to kick back, eat hummus, etc, etc.
